Committee of the Whole

THAT the agenda for the Committee of the Whole meeting of February 27, 2025 be confirmed.

THAT Council provide all e-waste material collected at the newly established e-waste bins during the months of April and August to the Wellington Rotary Club for the purposes of fundraising in recognition of their provision of this service to the community in the past, and direct the CAO to establish similar agreements with other organizations for the remaining months of the year.

THAT an additional 2 metrics be added to the "Housing that is Affordable" category related to percentage of residents moving to permanent housing from Leeward House and the number of people that avoid eviction because of the Housing Help interventions.

THAT an additional metric be created under the "Community Equity" category to expand participation of rural residents as volunteers and in engagement efforts.

THAT Committee move into closed session to consider: 1. Committee Appointments & Personnel Matters - A personal matter about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees (Pursuant to Section 239 (2) (b) of the Municipal Act).

1. THAT the application from Claudio Rocca for membership on the Sophiasburgh Ward Recreation Committee be received; 2. THAT staff be directed to bring forward a motion in open session to appoint Claudio Rocca as a voting public member of the Sophiasburgh Ward Recreation Committee for the term of Council or until reappointed; and 3. THAT a By-Law appointing Claudio Rocca to the Sophiasburgh Ward Recreation Committee be approved at the March 11, 2025 Council meeting.
